Wisdom's Roots Teaching Circle meets:

Mondays, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

@ Weldon Public Park, Glasgow KY

Teacher: Kurt Shoopman (a.k.a. Fionix)

About Me: I have been practicing and studying witchcraft and shamanism for over nine years. Since childhood I have felt a deep connection with Nature, and began studying the Craft at the age of 11. I am for the most part self-taught, though I have had many teachers in life, the greatest of which being the Divine and my  spirit allies. My personal spiritual practices have been born of a fusion between European Witchcraft and Native Shamanic traditions around the world. I draw on influences from Norse, Celtic, Italian, and Neo-Greek witchcraft as well as shamanic practices of the Heyoka (Lakota), Jhankri (Nepal), Koori (Australian Aboriginal), Curandero (Central America), and various other groups native to South America and Japan.

It is my great joy in life to teach the art of magick and transformation through the Craft and Shamanism, to achieve healing, balance, and totality. The style in which I teach is known as experiential learning, which places the teachings directly into the hands of the student. Allowing each individual to create a practice and tradition built from their own knowledge, at their own pace, giving each student a strong foundation on which to stand within their own power.
